The cup

where both end

Two journeys. Both end in the cup in your hand.

  • Clay: two hands centring a lump of wet clay on the potter's wheel.
  • Making: clay-covered hands throwing a cup on the wheel.
  • Glazing: a brush laying terracotta-red glaze on a white bisque mug, the glaze running in drips.
  • The finished cup: a handmade cream cup and saucer decorated with clay seashells and a starfish.
